Faulty footwear repair

Faulty footwear repair at commercial scale

When a batch arrives with manufacturing faults, writing it off or shipping it back is expensive and slow. We repair structural faults on new stock so it can be sold, and we only take on work we can complete to retail standard.

Faults we repair

  • Uppers detaching from soles
  • Failed or missing eyelets
  • Broken fastenings
  • Stitching defects

Not sure whether a fault can be repaired? Send us photographs and we will tell you.

How it works

  1. 1. Sample review. You send us a few faulty pairs. We assess the nature and extent of the fault.

  2. 2. Clear answer and quote. We confirm whether the fault can be repaired to retail standard, and quote for the full batch. If it cannot, we say so.

  3. 3. Repair and inspection. We repair the batch, inspect every pair and return it ready for sale.

When repair makes commercial sense

For importers and logistics companies holding large volumes of faulty stock, repair is often the only commercially sensible option. Our background is the footwear supply chain, so we understand how the goods are constructed and where they tend to fail.

What to send us for a sample review

  • A few pairs showing the fault, including the worst examples
  • Photographs of the fault close up
  • The total number of affected pairs
  • The style or product codes involved
  • Any deadline you are working to
